Get in touch
Before your dog joins Dogs at Heart, we require a short WhatsApp video call so I can virtually meet you and your dog. This gives you the chance to ask any questions which have not been covered in your enquiry form or in our FAQ’s.

Following the video call, I will send you online forms to complete and we can then arrange a complimentary solo walk for your dog to assess their requirements whilst ensuring their personality is a perfect fit for one of our groups and more importantly, your dog likes their walker. There is no obligation to agree our contract until both you and your dog are happy.
FAQs
-
Which parks do you use?Brockwell, Belair, Norwood, Peckham Rye, Nunhead Cemetery and Ladywell Fields are our most frequented.
-
Can you walk male dogs who are not neutered? If your dog is not neutered and has no known issues with other male dogs, we are happy to let him join us. We are experienced with long lines and will use these if required to allow your dog freedom whilst keeping them close to our proximity.
-
Can you walk bitches in season? It is with regret that we cannot walk any bitch in season on our group walks. During this time, we may be able to offer solo walks for her for the duration.
-
What are your contract conditions? We require from you a minimum of three walks per week Mon - Fri. The days chosen should be repeated weekly.
-
Can I change the days my dog is walked each week? If, for any reason, you need to change the odd day due to life changes, please do ask, and we will always try to accommodate where we can. Outside of this, we ask that you adhere to your regular days.
-
Are you insured? We are insured for Public Liability and Injury to Animals through Pet Business Insurance. We highly recommend that you hold full insurance for your own dog.
-
How is payment made?Invoices are emailed to you on the last working day of the month, with payment required upon receipt via bank transfer and no later than five days.
-
Do you walk in all weather? We will continue our walks as long as roads are safe to drive through winter and temperatures are not too hot during summer. Over the years, we have experienced hotter summers, and during these times, we will often shorten the walks and choose woods over open parks for a slow meander.
